  Everything in our Universe “travels” in cycles. We have been a Blessed nation. So much so that the very idea it will not continue is practically inconceivable. In the 60’s and 70’s things began to change. Rebellion and political corruption began to “raise it’s (ugly) head” and (mostly) the church stayed silent. Prayer was removed from our schools without one single vote. And the church stayed silent. As long as their immediate surroundings remained (basically) serene ... they were unconcerned, quiet and thus complicit. The love for God and His Word seemed to decrease more and more every decade. Despite significant historical proof and page after page of warning in His word, our society stepped further and further away from the God Who had Blessed us with every passing day. When laws were passed that not only violated His word but had great consequences according to His word (mostly) the church in our society stayed silent.   When God designed the family He knew what He was doing. There’s a reason Mom’s are (generally) sympathetic.   There’s a reason Dads are (generally) “no nonsense”.    He designed the family and home with all the elements necessary to create a healthy human physically, mentally and spiritually. When a child is growing up their body, soul and spirit are forming.   They are becoming a tri level human being.   Their home environment is nurturing their body and their inner man to maturity.   God created the love in a family in such a way as to nurture a healthy human body, soul and spirit.   I understand there are some very sad situations in families.   This is not the article to address any of that.   This is insight into how God created family and how we need family to be. People with any discernment often can see the issues and problems in a person without seeing the Treasures that may be be buried in them …" I wish I could remember where I read that.  It stopped me in my tracks. I resemble that remark, far more than I would like to admit.      “The Count of Monte Cristo” with Jim Caveizel is one of my top ten favorite movies of all time.  Yes, it is that good!  I have seen numerous parallels to the Word of God and the struggle to live a Christian life in this movie. In one pivotal scene he is hunting hidden treasure.  It has laid untouched and dormant for decades.  With a map from the original Treasure Hunter he was able to find it, relatively easy.  There were no indications, on the surface, of the vast wealth hidden underneath.  He had to “deep dive” to find it.  He had to follow the map to the letter.  He had to be persistent and dilligent .  He had to actually...

 There is an old phrase, “rats abandon a sinking ship.“. If you have never before seen that phenomenon, and I sincerely hope you have not, you can now see an amazing illustration of it in our political world. President Trump in the last couple of days has been vilified as never before. Beyond logic, beyond reason he is being lambasted as the evil instigator by the evil instigator.  But that’s not the purpose of my post today. Many in his inner circle and political circle or denouncing, Criticizing, rejecting and abandoning him. I don’t think it came as a surprise to him.  They see his presidency as a sinking ship and they are getting out fast. The funny thing, to me, is this… It, in no way, shows their political strategy or superiority. It shows one thing and one thing alone. Mom and Dad were watching TV when Mom said, I'm tired, and it's getting late. I think I'll go to bed." She went to the kitchen to make sandwiches for the next day's lunches, rinsed out the popcorn bowls, took meat out of the freezer for supper the following evening, checked the cereal box levels, filled the sugar container, put spoons and bowls on the table and started the coffee pot for brewing the next morning. She then put some wet clothes into the dryer, put a load of clothes into the wash, ironed a shirt and secured a loose button. She picked up the newspapers strewn on the floor, picked up the game pieces left on the table and put the telephone book back into the drawer.
