Cycles

 

Everything in our Universe “travels” in cycles. We have been a Blessed nation. So much so that the very idea it will not continue is practically inconceivable.

In the 60’s and 70’s things began to change. Rebellion and political corruption began to “raise it’s (ugly) head” and (mostly) the church stayed silent. Prayer was removed from our schools without one single vote. And the church stayed silent. As long as their immediate surroundings remained (basically) serene ... they were unconcerned, quiet and thus complicit. The love for God and His Word seemed to decrease more and more every decade. Despite significant historical proof and page after page of warning in His word, our society stepped further and further away from the God Who had Blessed us with every passing day.

When laws were passed that not only violated His word but had great consequences according to His word (mostly) the church in our society stayed silent. Bullied into silence by a vindictive counter culture intent on domination we were accused of bias, racism and cruelty when in truth exactly the opposite was at the core of our beliefs. Suddenly even certain topics like homosexuality were not spoken of from our pulpits ever again for fear of retaliation. Potential political leaders were put forward for higher office with undeniable proof of, not only gross corruption, but openly advocating for heinous acts some of which take the life of the most innocent and defenseless in our society..

And still we thought there would be no repercussions. Despite unlimited proof to the contrary we believed this cycle of sowing and reaping would not come to pass.

We were wrong.

After the fall of Afghanistan the Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, among other things, as a direct result of America’s (albeit certain leaders) actions in Afghanistan innocent blood was shed (and still being shed today). Martyr’s blood was shed. Those actions have put into motion negative ( and even disastrous) consequences that cannot be altered. repentance may bring some relief but there seems to be none of that. In fact, repentance of any form seems to be grossly missing from our society.

I understand there’s probably a lot of frustration in peoples hearts as they see and read these words. “What could we have done?”. That’s an excellent question and the answer is different for each one of us. After nearly 2 years a group of peaceful protesters have now begun to Washington. That is something! It is admirable. It is Couragous. Currently, at least from my vantage point, they stand alone. I know of no other (truly) organized resistance to the agendas from Ungodly leadership.

I can promise you this, you are called to do something! We are all called to pray. Many have use that as an excuse to throw up their hands, in cowardice, and do nothing physically. Well, how do you like the world that behavior has created?

The fall of 2020 we saw an election take place with extremely questionable behavior. Behaviors that should have been questioned. questioned some more, questioned again and answers demanded at every level in every state, every county and every city. All it takes For evil to thrive is good men do nothing. Many good men did nothing. Shook their heads in frustration and returned to their homes and lives as if there were no consequences for these action. These activities have now installed leaders in our nation. These leaders are now making decisions. These decisions are leading to actions these actions are leading to consequences we are all, now, going to have to deal with.

To everything there is a season. A time to every purpose under heaven.

These situations and circumstances were not inevitable. God left human beings in control of the earth. Human beings he installed free will in and then stepped back and gave them the right to choose it.

We chose.

Many simply chose silence and (perceived) peace but, we chose.

A great division, in my opinion, worse than the strife of the civil war raged in our nation. One side cried out for violence, control, strife and the end of our nation as it had been and as our founding fathers created.. The opposite side wanted peace, obedience to God’s word and the preservation of our republic and all our founding fathers (and our original pilgrim ancestors and fathers dreamed of) to remain.

Sometimes the only way to end an argument is to give in. Once people have walked through enough of their own consequences they repent of their choices and behaviors.

I believe, with all my heart, that is exactly where America is. That is exactly where our society is. Like the stubborn child screaming, “Let me do it!” God has handed it over to them and said “OK,” with great sorrow, “Go ahead and do it.”

A house divided against itself will not stand. I believe, having tried every other conceivable option, God had to step back and let the consequences teach what they would not let His Word teach them.

There is no clearer message you need to turn your life around then destroying it.

There is no clear message you need to wake up and take charge of the world (God gave you authority in) than seeing it destroyed because of your complacency.

As of today March 15, 2022 we are a nation in crisis every way imaginable. There will be consequences. The depth of those consequences, the severity of his consequences and how long they last is dependent upon one thing… What are you going to do?!

From a practical standpoint I encourage you to stock up on supplies. I encourage you to ask your physicians to order you a 90 day prescription of all necessary medication’s, etc.

From a spiritual standpoint I strongly encourage you to repent, fast and pray.

I am using today to take a long hard look in the mirror. What did I do that I should continue doing? What should I have done different? What is God telling me to do that I’m not doing. It is absolutely (beyond)ime to answer those questions and act upon the answers God gives us.

Now, obviously, I’m not endorsing violence or rioting in the streets. That’s exactly the opposite of what I’m trying to convey.

But, many have been complacent because the war was not at their door… That may all be different in a month. A lot will depend on where we are as a society and especially the body of Christ go from this point on. There are amazing ministries establishing prayer groups and humanitarian aid. I strongly encourage you to do your research and align yourself with the ones you feel called by God to help.

We have sown.

We will now reap.

The length and strength of our harvest will now depend on the depth and strength of our repentance and behavior.
