What’s That Coming?

Lamentations 3:64 reads like this… “Render to them a recompense, oh, Lord, according to the work of their hands”.

That’s such a powerful verse. I know for someone who has dealt with some hardship lately it’s even comforting. Not that I would ever wish, any type of evil on any human… but in terms of Satan and his evil Kingdom… It’s very comforting to know that I can cry out to God and their evil will go back on their head.. That’s another great verse.

But what I thought about today, what I felt led to encourage others about, is to stop at our “front door“, turn around and take stock.

Before we go, demanding recompense for other’s behavior, we need to make sure that our “house“ is clean. Because what we decree Satan can demand for us. If you’re demanding justice for people who have stolen from you, but you are a thief yourself… You’re going to see some problems there.

Justice is a two edged sword. It beautifully destroys the enemy, but it is also skilled at carving out our own inferiority.

We seem to be so good at wanting the Lord to deal with others. Sometimes it’s His mercy that He does not. Because He would have to deal with us first!

God desires for you to look to Him, look inside yourself, and do your own “clean up”.

Becoming born again, creates a brand new man inside. But this one… On the outside… This flesh, it needs work. It needs, sometimes, harsh penalties, and work.

By all means, demand justice in your life for the wrongs done to you. Demand justice for the things stolen from you. Demand justice for the evil words people speak over you. But I strongly suggest you go into the bathroom look into the mirror there and have a conversation with that person first.

Please be very careful what you demand to come to your house.  You may expect to see Blessings and justice coming down the road and then turn around and find Justice in your own house. Demanding you clean up your mess first.
